Doug Campau has more than twelve years of experience in the practice of antidumping and general international trade law. He has represented numerous domestic and international clients in antidumping matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce, with his most recent work focusing on cases involving the People’s Republic of China. He has also assisted overseas clients in the formation of U.S. subsidiaries, and in the contracting of U.S.-based executives and general management personnel.
As a senior antidumping and countervailing duty investigator with the U.S. Department of Commerce, Mr. Campau led dozens of fair trade proceedings, involving a wide range of industrial, chemical, and agricultural products. He also counseled numerous foreign government officials on U.S. fair trade law, assisted in the drafting and implementation of trade agreements, and co-authored a report to the President after being appointed to the White House Steel Action Program to examine global trade issues in the steel industry.
Prior to this, Mr. Campau served as corporate counsel to a major
international retailer, where he helped administer and broaden the
business of the company’s overseas joint ventures and franchises.
